Where are you located?

We live in the sweet little town of Salisbury, Maryland.

What types of sessions do you photograph? What’s your style?

Garrett, Julia, and Jakob are the three faces behind Sincerely, The Kitchens. Garrett does both photography + videography, Julia does primarily family photography and destination weddings, and Jakob is our (amazing) email guy, videographer, editor, and Julia’s little brother!

Our style can be described as emotive, carefree, and adventurous. We love those moments that make us tear up and we love capturing people in love. Our posing isn’t stiff or forced. We want to capture REAL moments, REAL emotion and REAL memories.

When do you schedule sessions?

We love shooting an hour before sunset for outdoor photos.

We’re looking for that soft, glowy light that’ll totally shine through in your photos. That’s why shooting more towards sunset is best! Otherwise, sunrise is also an incredible option. Need a midday session? In-home sessions usually happen in the middle of the day when your home is well-lit. We can work with any lighting!

What’s included in my portrait session?

A one hour session at one location, 80-100+ edited images, and an online gallery with the ability to order prints!

What should I wear for my session?

Skip the all matching attire and go for a mix of neutrals or earth tones if that’s your style. If you love color, go bold! One person in a busy pattern and the rest in solids is usually a good balance.

When will my photos be ready?

For portrait sessions, your photos will be ready around 2-3 weeks. During busy season, turnaround times might be a bit longer. For weddings, a hefty sneak peek gallery will be sent the week following your wedding and your full gallery will be done around 8 weeks. We take our time on wedding films and never want to rush the process.

How can we make our wedding film true to US?

Think outside the box!! How can your film truly embody who you are? What personal touches could we incorporate? Want us to come to your engagement session to get some extra footage? Want to do a day after session of the two of you making breakfast together for the first time as a married couple? LET’S BRAINSTORM! Also, LOTS of audio. Personal letters or vows, family interviews, etc.

How do I book you guys for our wedding?

Fill out the contact form by clicking on the “book us” tab! To book, we require a signed contract and a retainer to secure your date.
